We need to unlock the phone to test the screen, cameras and Face ID afterwards. Without it we cannot verify our own work.
Screen and battery work does not touch your data, but working on a device that is already failing carries some risk. iCloud or Google Photos is enough.

About an hour for most iPhone and Samsung models, and you are welcome to wait in the shop. If your model needs a part we do not stock, we will tell you the day it can be done before you leave it.
No. Screen, battery, port and camera work does not touch your storage. We still recommend a backup before we start, because a device that is already faulty can fail in ways nobody predicted.
We offer both. OEM panels are genuine-grade and cost more; aftermarket panels are high quality and cost less. We show you the price of each and you choose — and whichever you pick is recorded on your invoice.
Yes. Face ID depends on the front sensor array, which we transfer from your original screen. It is the front camera module that cannot be replaced without losing Face ID, and we will tell you up front if that is what your device needs.
Often yes — a battery on a three-year-old phone costs a fraction of replacing it. If it is not worth doing we will say so, and we also buy devices outright if you would rather trade it in.
