Laptop power supplies are model-specific and we cannot test a charging or no-power fault without the original.
We cannot boot into the machine to test our own work without it. A Microsoft account PIN works too.
If there are photos or documents you cannot lose, say so at the counter. It changes how we approach a failing drive.

Sometimes, depending on the machine and the fault. We tell you the amount before we start, and it comes off the final price if you go ahead. You are never charged for work we do not complete.
Often yes — an SSD and a bit more RAM transform a machine of that age for far less than a replacement. If it genuinely is not worth doing against what the machine is worth, we will say so rather than take the job.
Usually. If the drive itself is healthy and only the computer around it has failed, recovery is straightforward. If the drive is the thing that failed it is harder, and we tell you what is realistic before you commit.
Not on an SSD upgrade — we clone your existing installation, so Windows, your programs and your files all come across as they were. A job that requires a fresh install is always discussed with you first.

Most diagnostics are done inside one to two days. The work itself depends on parts — an SSD swap can be same day once approved, a laptop screen depends on panel availability.
